A familiar face peered through the dining room window last Sunday. Frankie, the neighborhood wild guinea, came by to welcome us home. I hadn't really been worried about him - my friend Mary Kay had spotted him a few times when we were off in Montana and she was feeding our dogs, and I had heard his familiar squawking from our neighbor's land since we'd been back - guineas can be very loud! But it was good to see him with my own eyes and know he's still alive and well.
(This was taken just before we left for Montana...he's so photogenic!)
