I'm surrounded by my family, scrambling to get ready for services at my parents' Baptist church. Daniel forgot a nice shirt...I think he's borrowing one of my dad's. I was smart - I got up early to get first dibs on the bathroom so I could be ready and out of the frenzy.
One more year for Easter baskets - is there really a deadline? I think not - as long as I'm with them on Easter morning, I'll drag out their old baskets and fill they with goodies - they each get a shiny egg in the middle with money inside and then lots of candy. I'm sure once I have grandkids, they'll be the focus of my holiday spirit, but for now, my kids are gorging themselves on chocolate for breakfast.
Mama's putting a ham in the oven - we'll share a meal with my brother and sister and their families before heading home. I think the threat of storms will come true and I don't look forward to it, but it's worth it to spend time with family on a wonderful, blessed day like today. Happy Easter!
