Since I'm a good wife and mother, I subscribe to Men's Health Today emails. That way I can forward them to Tom and my boys, nagging virtually when I can't do it in person.
Sometimes I read the articles, but often I don't have time, and that's what happened today. But the title and blurb sounded beneficial... "Dr. Oz's 25 Greatest Health Tips"... so I hit forward and off it went.
Within seconds, I received this email from Tom:
Re: Dr. Oz's 25 Greatest Health Tips
Dr. Oz Tip #5
Don't Pamper Your Bad Back
Even if you're hunched over in agony, taking to your bed will only make a bad back worse. The latest research shows that bed rest weakens back muscles and prolongs the suffering. Married men may suffer more than single men because of all the pampering. I used to love milking the care from Lisa, but the best solution is to get up, take a pain reliever, and be a soldier.

"So there." That's what my husband wrote. Not "thank you for caring enough to send this to me, I love you, too," but "So there."
Geez.
So this is what I wrote him back.
"Love it! Perfect timing! Okay, no more pampering from me, soldier boy."
Because I'll do anything for my honey in the name of love, including neglecting him if necessary.
By the way, apparently Dr. Oz knows what he's talking about. Tom went to work today (which includes driving a small, standard convertible an hour each way) and stopped by the grocery store on his way home, and now he looks almost normal when he walks, plus his moaning and groaning is cut at least in half! Maybe Dr. Oz threw his back out bowling at some time, too.
