I spent the morning exploring the north shore of Lake Travis with friends, visiting beautiful homes.
It was Property Tour Tuesday!
Many of the homes we visited today were on the lake, or at least had a lake view. It was a gorgeous, springlike day, perfect for driving through the hill country.
To top it off, we ended the tour eating hamburgers hot off the grill on a covered patio.
I love being a Realtor!
But you have to wait a few days to see those photos. Right now I'm going to share some of the homes on last week's tour...
Doesn't the view out of that window totally relax you?
This house reminded me of our first home in Lago Vista, nestled in the trees on the edge of a wet-weather creek and ravine. It was close to everything, but felt remote and private.
I loved the views of trees out the window and the second-story porch. It's like a treehouse!
Our tours move fast and my group was already running behind schedule by the time we arrived at the next one, so I only managed one quick click of this fabulous front porch.
Isn't this a beautiful view?
Sigh.
The first of many bathrooms I loved on this tour.
The three tall windows, the wainscoting, and the wood floors in this dining room give it such an elegant feel, don't you think?
I love that table, too, but I don't think it comes with the house. Sorry!
I've always wanted a clawfoot tub, so I loved this bathroom in the next house.
I also love the outdoor area below, situated on the inside of the U-shaped home.
What you don't see - because I couldn't get a good photo of it - is a swimming pool right behind that green sofa.
Bathroom number 3. Love the tub, but also the window, the tile, the sinks. The simplicity.
I can't resist anything in weathered turquoise.
It doesn't come with the house, but I wanted to share it with you.
Each of the properties within this little subdivision in Lago Vista comes with a plot across the street where they can build a guest home, like the one below.
Doesn't it look like an old farmhouse?
The next home is perched on a cliff overlooking Lake Travis.
Follow me through that great entrance...
The view is so beautiful. A wall of windows let you enjoy it inside if you don't have time to relax on the porch.
And the view from the bottom floor porch was just as beautiful.
I just loved the play of light through this window in a closet.
We enjoyed a Chinese food lunch in the last home. I was starving by then and I blame that for my photos of beautiful brick interior arches coming out blurry, and for not taking a single photo of the upstairs office.
I spent most of my time sitting outside eating and enjoying stories of the area's history from another Realtor whose grandparents moved to the north shore fifty years ago.
But a few photos turned out okay, like the one of the sitting area close to the kitchen...
And the view from the back porch of the fountain and surrounding neighborhood...
And this one of the view from the balcony of the upstairs bonus room/office...
There was an awesome breeze up there. I could easily imagine taking coffee breaks out on that balcony.
I spotted the sign above in one of the houses.
One day I hope this is all that's on my to-do list!
In the meantime, I hoped you enjoyed the tour! Check back for photos of today's tour, as well as images of the new homes I promised you last week!
And as always, if you want more information about any of these homes, just let me know. I'd love to play matchmaker and help you make one of them your new home!
